What are ADUs?
ADU is the acronym for Accessory Dwelling Unit. Accessory dwelling units are secondary housing units (sometimes called a granny flat) that are placed on existing property that cannot be moved because they're on a foundation or are attached to the house. Sometimes they are placed above garages or in a converted basement, but most often they are backyard cottages. These secondary, or just additional, dwellings can be made energy efficient and lovely to live in when you choose the right contractor to complete the final project.
